G-Unit Lloyd Banks Detained!

Reports and further detail have come to the surface as G Unit’s Lloyd Banks is now under police custody on assault and robbery charges after an incident that occurred Friday Night.

The rapper is being held by authorities in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

Allegations began to bubble Friday after Banks performed at Club NV. Sergeant Brag Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police’s Criminal Investigations branch spoke with MTV and stated that Banks, real name Christoper Lloyd, had a verbal dispute with a promoter over receiving dividends for the performance along with a fee for his appearance.

According to reports, Banks and three other men assaulted road manager Chris Hines of Chris Hine/ Ultimate Entertainment and brutalized him to the point where he was hospitalized. Hines suffered some lacerations, although minor, along with a bruised eye and possible head trauma.

Speaking on the incident Saturday morning, the promoter confirmed the allegations and pointed the finger at Banks, along with his associates Nicklas Sloane, Shawn McGee and Tyrell Coopers, as the culprits behind his beating. In his account, they held him in his hotel room against his will, assaulted and robbed him.

The four men all appeared in from of the court Sunday afternoon and will make their next cameo within this week. The men are being charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. As of now,they are still within police custody.

Somebody needs to get Banks back in the lab. This would have never happened if he was recording an album.

Internet Rumors began circling Asher Roth’s sexuality late last week. You may be asking yourself wat the big deal is but Asher has already responded and made his sexuality clear!!!

I hate to disappoint and take away the entertainment of it all but I am straight, not gay. It’s disheartening to know such “news” on someone’s personal life can be portrayed as fact with no viable source. This, to me, is an opportunity to expose our vulnerability to lies and manipulation through unprofessional and irresponsible news outlets, in which people consider TRUTH. Further, someone’s sexual orientation should NEVER be big news, as it delivers a troubling message to children that they can’t be themselves without fear of judgment. Race, creed, and sexual persuasion should not just be tolerated but understood and accepted. It’s extremely disappointing that this topic would be used with the intention of being hurtful. We are near 2010….2010!! Yet race, sex and religion still play a major role in a hate driven society. For the love of the future and humanity….let’s wake up.

Little Nicholas Coke is his family’s Christmas miracle. The one-year-old from Pueblo, Colorado, wasn’t expected to live after being born without most of his brain.

“He’s a miracle,” Nicholas’s mom, Sheena Coke, told Southern Colorado NBC affiliate KOAA. “He’s changed so many people’s lives.

“He doesn’t have a brain — he just has the brain stem,” Coke told the TV station. “He can’t see, he can’t hear, he can’t suck … he doesn’t have teeth for being a year. He doesn’t crawl, he doesn’t sit up.”

But Coke said she sees emotion in her son. “He’s smiling,” Coke told KOAA. “We even got him to laugh for the first time and that was wonderful.”

It’s unclear what caused Nicholas’s condition. Various birth defects can cause babies to be born missing most of their brains. For example, children born with anencephaly may have a brain stem, which controls breathing and certain reflexes, but no “higher” brain capable of thinking or emotion. Children born with the disease usually are missing a skull cap and die within hours or days of birth, according to the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

In another condition, hydranencephaly, the skull covers a fluid-filled sac where the brain is supposed to be. Most children with hydranencephaly die before age one, but some may live several years or longer, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Both conditions occur when development of the embryo goes awry, possibly due to genetics, environment or nutrition, according to the American Association for Clinical Chemistry. Although this condition is particularly, taking 400 to 800 micrograms of folic acid before and during pregnancy may cut the risk of similar disorders — known as neural tube defects — by 50 to 70 percent, according to the Duke Center for Human Genetics.

As she celebrates Nicholas’ first birthday, Coke said her happiness is fragile. “It’s hard to know that I’m going to be burying my son soon, but it’s wonderful to know he’s made it a year,” she told KOAA.

The bride wore a strapless Vera Wang gown, and a silk and crystal flower in her hair. “We’re so happy that we’re finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones,” the couple said after the lavish reception, where their 400 guests dined on Carribbean, Asian, and Italian cuisine. “Kevin has said many times he feels like he met his princess,” Michael said. “To see them together you can feel the warmth and love all around them.”
